Questions about Foods & Drink

Here is the answer. On this wall page, you are seeing some questions that guide you to teach in conversation class.

Making your speaking class to be alive is crucial. You can’t activate your learners without an awesome preparation. So note down the questions that I give and practice it.

Before that, let me share my experience before sharing the questions.

Firstly, Introduce the vocabulary

Gaining students' vocabulary helps them to speak up in the class. How can your students speak and produce sentences both spoken and written if they don't know any English words?

You can find vocabularies which are allied to your conversational topics. For example, "Eating and Drinking", the topic that we discuss on my post. Look at the table below to see the vocabularies example.

Secondly

You can teach your students how to pronounce each word above. Moreover, you can ask your students to find the meaning of the words. If your learners are EFL, you can use the bilingual dictionary.

Thirdly, Apply the questions below!

1. Do you consider eating a chore, a duty or a pleasure? why?

2. What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

3. Do you drink juice? what is your favorite beverage?

4. When do you drink it?

7. Where do you usually shop for food?

9. What drinks do you often have with your evening meal?

10. What is your favorite traditional food? why do you love it?

11. Who is the best chef in.......? Who is your chef?

13. What is your favorite restaurant? In what language do you order?

14. How often do you eat in restaurant?

15. Have you ever ordered food via application in android? what is the application? why do you use it?

16. What is the most popular traditional food in your country/region/village/ in you native lands?

17. In your native country, what foods or beverages are associated with weddings party?

18. Now let's talk about fasting. What foods do you have for breakfast and for breaking the fast?

19. Have you ever tried diet to lose weight? what did you do?

20. Would you name several types of diets?

To carry on the questions mentioned, you should think how to do so. It means you should find a good strategy to convey it. For example, you can use interview technique, gap filling, and role play.

The last is, giving feedback to your learners.

Giving feedback including how your students speaking progress. You can check how the learners pronounce the words and check their grammar.

To sum up, designing more questions is little bit easy. It depends on what is the topic of our conversation class. Moreover, we have to be more critical. Every talk creates new ideas that you can use.
