Asking for name. (Menanyakan nama)

Question

What is your name? 

(Siapa nama anda?)

Response

My name is Afnan Adib, please call me Adib.

(Nama saya Afnan Adib, silakan panggil saya Adib) 

Asking for nationality. (Menanyakan Kebangsaan)

Question

Where are you from?

(Anda berasal dari mana?)

I am from Indonesia.

(Saya berasal dari Indonesia) 

Asking for address. (Menanyakan Alamat Tinggal)

(Dimana anda tinggal?)

Asking for age. (Menanyakan Umur)

(Saya berumur tigapuluh tahun).

(Saya sepantaran anda/berumuran seperti anda).  

I am in early twenties.

(Saya menginjak usia dua puluh).

Example of self-Introduction. (Contoh Perkenalan Diri)

Hello my name is Afnan. I am from Indonesia. I am a student. I am twenty years old. I study in University of Indonesia. I live in Jakarta.

I have five siblings. There are 3 brothers and two sisters. My major is Electrical engineering. My hobby is reading. I like reading motivational book. My phone number is 0878-223-7754. 

Example of Introducing Others. (Contoh Memperkenalkan Orang Lain)

To introduce others, you can use Possessive Adjectives. 

Untuk memperkenalkan orang lain, kita dapat menggunakan possessive adjective.

My    : Milik saya

His    : Milik dia (laki-laki)

Her    : Milik dia (perempuan)

Their : Milik mereka

Our    : Milik kita

Its    :Milik benda

Your    : Milik kamu

For example:

1. I have a classmate. He is boy. His name is Yoga.

(Saya punya teman sekelas. Dia laki-laki. Nama dia adalah Yoga).

2. I have a sister. Her name is Rini.

(Saya punya saudara perempuan. Nama dia Rini)
